My ChiroThin Story


The first thing I remember liking that liked me back was food. I have a Grandmother from the South who's holiday food spread is anticipated all year long. Most of her recipes include the phrase "add 1 cup of fat." Needless to say, my weight has been a constant battle since I was 10 years old. Once I became an adult, I was well aware of the types of foods I should have been eating, I even enjoyed a lot of them... just not as much as I enjoyed pasta, bread, fried foods and anything sweet.

I was a fantastic Monday Dieter! The best! I would eat horribly all weekend long with absolute determination that Monday morning that was it! I was going to eat right, hit the gym (ha ha) and this time I was going to stick to it, no matter what... until usually Wednesday.

That awful cycle finally stopped in 2016 when I was introduced to a doctor-supervised weight loss program called ChiroThin offered at Young Chiropractic! I came in for my consultation on a Friday afternoon completely close-minded and sure that I was wasting my time AND money. I posed for my before pictures, had my measurements done and got on the scale. The one thing that helped me ease into the program was knowing that the first two days I was able to eat anything I wanted. It is actually an important part of the process! Hello KFC, China Buffet and Dairy Queen! I had my weekend mapped out before I even left the office that day.

Monday was here before I knew it and I was disgusted with food and anxious for my first official day of clean eating. I was amazed at how well the drops suppressed my appetite! Tuesday morning I climbed on the scale and was down four pounds! FOUR pounds just like that! Tuesday was even easier than Monday, and the next morning down 2.5 pounds! By Wednesday I no longer felt bloated or sluggish. I felt lighter, had more energy, my skin looked better, and I just had this overall euphoric feeling! The pounds and inches continued to melt off so quickly that I actually fell in love with the process!

I lost 35 pounds and 28 inches in just 6 weeks!! I am smaller now than I was in 7th grade! Pretty crazy especially after having 3 kids! Being on this program taught me so much about nutrition, my body, and how the foods I eat make me feel!
